Arkrocket Turntable Feature Comparison
Cartridge type
The Arkrocket Coryphaeus 3-Speed Turntable uses a Rocket moving magnet cartridge. This design typically offers good detail and tracking for standard vinyl records. The second Arkrocket 3-Speed Turntable does not list its specific cartridge model in the provided specifications. You cannot determine if it uses a moving magnet, moving coil, or another type. This lack of detail makes it harder to compare sound quality potential directly. If you care about the specific transducer technology, the Coryphaeus gives you that information clearly. The other model leaves this component undefined.
Physical dimensions
Size matters when placing a turntable on a shelf or desk. The Coryphaeus measures 15 inches in length, 12 inches in width, and 6 inches in height. It is a low-profile unit. The other Arkrocket model is much taller at 35.7 inches, with a length of 13.9 inches and width of 15.8 inches. This significant height difference suggests a different form factor, likely with legs or a stand. If you have limited vertical space, the Coryphaeus fits more easily. If you prefer a taller, vintage-style setup, the other model offers that presence.
Weight and stability
Weight can influence vibration isolation and perceived build quality. The Coryphaeus weighs 9.9 pounds. The other Arkrocket turntable weighs 16 pounds. The heavier unit may feel more solid on a surface, potentially reducing resonance from external vibrations. However, heavier units are harder to move. The lighter Coryphaeus is easier to reposition. Both are belt-drive designs, which helps isolate the motor. You should consider how much weight your furniture can support. The 16-pound model requires a sturdier surface than the 9.9-pound option.
Connectivity options
Both units support Bluetooth for wireless streaming. The Coryphaeus specifies both Bluetooth input and output, allowing you to stream to it or from it. The other model lists Bluetooth receiver functionality, RCA outputs, an auxiliary input, and a headphone jack. This gives you more wired connection choices. You can plug it into an existing stereo system via RCA or use headphones for private listening. The Coryphaeus data does not mention RCA outputs or headphone jacks. If you need wired flexibility, the second model offers more ports.
Special features
Feature sets differ between the two models. The Coryphaeus includes an auto-off feature, which stops the tonearm when the record ends. This protects the stylus and record groove. The other Arkrocket model features adjustable pitch control, which lets you fine-tune the rotation speed. It also has removable legs, allowing for easier transport or storage. The Coryphaeus does not list pitch control or removable legs. If you want precise speed adjustment, the second model is better. If you prefer automatic shut-off, the Coryphaeus wins.
Design and materials
Aesthetics play a role in home audio choices. The Coryphaeus is described as a Deluxe Edition with a luxurious leather wrap and gold logo. It comes in Black Green or Flora Engraved finishes. The other Arkrocket model is Brown and has a vintage-inspired retro look. It features removable legs. The Coryphaeus emphasizes elegance and sophistication with its materials. The other model focuses on a classic retro aesthetic. Your choice depends on whether you prefer modern luxury materials or traditional vintage styling. Both are belt-drive turntables, so the internal mechanics are similar.
